Scenario: foreign language groups
Last updated: May 16, 2026
Scenario: Students in class 10B split into three language groups — French, German, and Spanish — each with their own teacher.
Step 1: Create the division
Go to Classes → 10B → Subgroups → Add division.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Division name | Beginner Languages |
| Subgroups | French, German, Spanish |
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the lessons
Go to Lessons → Quick Add and create one lesson per subgroup:
| Teacher | Subject | Groups | Lessons/week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pierre Martin | French | 10B-French | 3 |
| Hans Müller | German | 10B-German | 3 |
| Carlos García | Spanish | 10B-Spanish | 3 |
Since all three lessons belong to the same division, the scheduler knows they can run at the same time — no student in 10B ends up with a free period.
How it looks on the timetable
The scheduler will align the three language lessons so all 10B students are in class during the same periods.
