Scenario: computer lab rotation
Last updated: May 16, 2026
Scenario: Class 10A has Informatics lessons in a computer lab, but the lab can't fit the whole class at once. So the class is split into two subgroups (lab1 and lab2) that attend in separate sessions.
Step 1: Create the division
Go to Classes → 10A → Subgroups → Add division.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Division name | Lab groups |
| Subgroups | lab1, lab2 |
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the lessons
Go to Lessons → Quick Add and add:
| Teacher | Subject | Groups | Lessons/week |
|---|---|---|---|
| John Smith | Informatics | 10A-lab1 | 1 |
| John Smith | Informatics | 10A-lab2 | 1 |
Room setup
Assign the computer lab to both lessons. Because both subgroups need the same room, the scheduler will automatically place them in different periods — they can't overlap.
How it looks on the timetable
lab1 and lab2 each get their own Informatics period, both using the computer lab.
