Adapt timetables to school changes

Last updated: Jun 30, 2025

Scenario: A teacher has left and needs to be replaced in the timetable

  1. Go to the Teachers section and add the new teacher.
Important: Do not delete the old teacher yet, as their lessons would also be removed.
  2. Go to the Lessons section and update the lessons assigned to the old teacher.
Replace them by selecting the new teacher.
  3. Once all lessons have been updated, return to the Teachers section and remove the old teacher.
  4. If the new teacher has the same constraints, you can edit the timetable and update the teacher's name in place.
If the constraints differ, it's best to regenerate the timetable with minimal changes.

Scenario: The curriculum has changed — class 5A now needs 4 Math lessons instead of 3

  1. Go to the Lessons section, find the Math lesson for class 5A, and edit it.
Change the number of weekly lessons from 3 to 4.
  2. Regenerate the timetable with minimal changes. The additional lesson will be automatically included.

Scenario: Latin has been removed from the curriculum

  1. Navigate to the Lessons section and delete all Latin lessons.
  2. Regenerate the timetable with minimal changes. Latin will no longer appear in the schedule.
