Add new lessons

Quick add vs. simple add
You can add lessons to your timetable in three ways. Depending on how many lessons you have, you can choose the method that works best for you:
- Import from Excel – We recommend this for high-volume data entry—it’s the fastest way to get started.
- Quick Add – A spreadsheet-style interface that’s great for typing in lessons manually and quickly, but with limited configuration options.
- Simple Add – Perfect for when you need to configure every detail of an individual lesson.
Import lessons from Excel
You can import your teachers, subjects, and lessons all at once using an Excel file. Check out our Fast data loading guide for step-by-step instructions.
Quick Add
Go to Lessons → Quick Add to see a simple table where each row is a different lesson. You can use Tab or Enter to move between cells just like in a spreadsheet.
Here’s what each column is for:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Teacher | Type the teacher's name. We’ll show suggestions based on the teachers you’ve already added. |
| Subject | Type the subject. We’ll show suggestions as you type. |
| Classes | Choose classes or subgroups from the menu. |
| Lessons/week | Set how often the lesson happens. Use 0.5 for lessons that occur every other week. |
In the Classes column, you can pick entire classes or specific subgroups. You can also use the duplicate icon to copy a row or click Add row for a new one. Don't forget to click Save when you're finished.
Simple Add
Go to Lessons → Add for full control over a lesson. Here you can set the teacher, subject, classes, buildings, frequency, and importance all in one place.
If you have several similar lessons, use the Clone button to duplicate a lesson card and just change the details you need.
